I’m Jola (Yola) Mecani, a first-generation immigrant and mother, with over a decade of experience supporting individuals through complex challenges. I specialize in trauma, emotions, and relationships. With a Master’s in Social Work and Public Policy, I understand the broader picture of mental health. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, struggling with past wounds, or seeking clarity, I’ll help you rediscover your strengths and build a life that feels authentic.

Children and teens face a wide range of challenges, from anxiety and emotional outbursts to self-esteem struggles, friendship difficulties, family conflicts, school stress, and identity exploration. Some may feel overwhelmed by big emotions they haven’t yet learned to manage, while others may carry the weight of past trauma, bullying, or feelings of isolation. With specialized training in Childhood Brain Development, Emotional Identification & Regulation in Play Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Skills for Children and Adolescents, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), I use a developmentally appropriate, evidence-based approach to support children and teens in understanding their emotions and building resilience.
